Kerry Perry has teased a superstar duet for the Super Bowl, telling fans "jaws will drop".
The Firework singer refused to reveal who would be joining her on stage for the half time show at America's biggest sporting event on Sunday but admitted she was "very excited".
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the concert, she said: "There is someone, this is true. I have to keep some surprises for Sunday but I'm very, very excited about this guest. I thought long and hard about it. People are not going to expect it.
"It's a throwback of sorts that definitely needed some shine. All I can say is that it will be female fun night but when this person enters the stage, jaws will drop and faces will melt.
"There will be some faces melted when she steps on the stage."
Katy will also be joined on stage by rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Katy has promised a "flaming hot" performance at this weekend's Super Bowl which will feature lions and sharks.
The 30-year-old star has spent several months working on her mini concert, and she says her graphics and lighting will take over the entire field at the University of Phoenix.
And in keeping with any glittering performance, she has promised several costume changes at the event, which will see the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots.
Speaking at a the NFL press conference at the Phoenix Convention Center, she said: "I think I'm the only person to ever do a half time show who brings a lion and sharks to the show.
"It's going to be wild out there. I'm creating three or four different worlds.
"My entrance and exit are spectacular, the costumes are great, the music, I have a lot of songs to cover so there will be some medley of sorts.
"It's a larger than life show and, there will be costumes, I have 12-and-a-half minutes so I am going to take the opportunity to show a few looks, this is exciting. It is going to be a very colourful performance."
And talking of outfits, Katy insists there will be no wardrobe malfunctions. She won't be doing a Janet Jackson circa 2004.
When asked how she was going to avoid such embarrassment, she said: "Well I can only control myself and all things in life, that's all I can do. I've done lots of fittings, my motivation and objective is for people to be talking about the music the next day, I take a lot of pride in my music.
"There comes a trust with this "I will never self sabotage this moment, it would be so short sighted of me to do anything with it but the gift I've been given.
"I think I have my eye on the prize, to make sure my performance is a few things. I am going to play on my strengths and humour. My songs are anthemic, and I want 115 million people smiling.
"I'm very excited about this performance, we are all going to have a wonderful, fun, not so serious time. When I look at other performances, Beyonce - who flicks her hair like nobody else can, she's sassy, and Madonna. I want to do a bit of both."
Katy, who was dressed in a two-piece outfit resembling an American football kit also told how touched she was to be asked to perform - especially at her young age.
Revealing she will be supporting the Seattle Seahawks because she is close friends with their quarter back Russell Wilson, she says she feels it will be a "spiritual" experience.
Katy said: "They call me Boss lady on the filed and off it, I feel very honoured, proud and blessed that I get to play the half time show at this age.
"I feel like it's an incredible, humbling, spiritual experience that I get to play these songs, from Roar to Firework, I have heard so man stories of those songs helping people and how they have adopted them mas their inspiration I might be performing to these people for the first time."
And Katy has made sure she has got something to look forward to after her performance.
After months of watching what she eats, she says she has ordered 100 Papa John's pizzas for her party afterwards.
